3D Animation Series
Animation I: Fundamentals
July 14 – 18; 1:00 – 5:00 pm
Instructor: Jason Byrne
This class will cover common animation fundamentals such as timing, weight, squash & stretch, and slow-in & slow-out. More specifically, it will teach students to implement these principles into their work with 3DS Max (Autodesk). Animation I will provide the student with a solid knowledge of 3DS Max and prepare them to enter Animation II.

Animation II: Production
July 21 – 25; 1:00 – 5:00 pm

Part 2 in this series teaches students commonly used techniques for creating 3D characters, environments, props, etc. These techniques will include but are not limited to: 3D modeling, texture creation/implementation, high-poly detailing. When finished with this class, students will have a solid understanding of the production pipeline used for generating 3D scene assets with as little time as possible.

Animation III: Putting It Together
July 28 – August 1; 1:00 – 5:00 pm

The final class in the 3D Animation series allows the student to create up to a one minute animated film using the techniques they acquired in the previous classes. New techniques introduced into this class will be: special effects mapping, particle systems, camera work, lighting, rendering, and adding sound.
